The Ridiculous Baking Company

Vegan Croissants, The Ridiculous Baking CompanyOne of my favorite things to do on a Sunday morning is to go to the Hollywood Farmers’ Market and get a pastry and coffee, before I score my veggies.  Because of my sensitive tummy, this used to be more difficult… Until I stumbled upon The Ridiculous Baking Company, down on Spice Alley.  They offer organic, vegan, soy free and some gluten free pastries that are, actually, RIDICULOUS-ly good.

I mean, come on.  I thought I had to give up all of this deliciousness when I gave up everything else. Or, at least I thought I couldn’t get anything that actually looked AND tasted this good.  Everything is truly moist when it needs to be and flaky when it should be.  I think there is some voodoo going on for them to bake this magic.

Vegan Mufffins, The Ridiculous Baking Company

So, one morning, I approached Adam of RBC (after I inhaled a Pain au Chocolat) to ask if I could write about his company.  I felt the need to get the word out.  I came back a few Sundays later and he graciously gifted me a muffin and two cheesecakes to try.  Yeah, cheesecakes.  My friend, Allie, and I sat down at the pop up picnic tables and unbuttoned the top button of our jeans to make room for the feast.

Gluten Free, Vegan Cherry Almond Muffin, The Ridiculous Baking CompanyI’m going to be honest with you, I don’t remember what this muffin was… I ate it too fast.  I think it was Cherry Almond, but I didn’t care.  It was gluten free, DELICIOUS and I could eat it, so it went in my belly.

As you can see, we dove into the treats before I could get good pictures…Raw Vegan Raspberry Cheesecake, The Ridiculous Baking Company

This Raspberry Cheesecake tasted almost like a sherbet, in a really good way.

Raw, Vegan Chocolate Cheesecake, The Ridiculous Baking Company

“WHAT IS THAT?”- Miss Allie, in regards to this Chocolate Marble Cheesecake.  I actually packed this one away so that I could selfishly eat it at home, in my pjs, during a Mindy Project marathon.  It was my version of heaven.

And then there were none.
