Joy’s Sangria With GT’s Kombucha
I was crazy elated the other day, when I stumbled upon GT’s Kombucha at Costco. Weirdly enough, my five year old daughter pointed it out and was more excited than I was. So, we stocked up. But, then I remembered it is TOTALLY perishable. So, here I am today with four bottles of Kombucha left that expire tomorrow. What do I do? (First world problems.) I remembered a recipe from the book I’m obsessed with, Joyous Health, for a Sangria Kombucha. And, since a friend is coming over tonight, I’m going to use it up!
You’ll have to buy Joy’s book to get her recipe, but here’s what I whipped up with what I had in the kitchen (it’s very similar to Joy’s, so I can’t take “delish” credit). I just made enough for a glass, because most people don’t have the problem of “too much kombucha”.
1/2 cup GT’s Trilogy Kombucha
1/4 cup red wine
2 slices peach (I used frozen)
3 slices green apple
3 slices mandarin orange
juice from 1/4 of a lime
1/4 teaspoon grated ginger
Fill a glass with kombucha, wine, fruit, ginger and lime juice. Drop in a couple of ice cubes, if you so desire. Stir and drink up, while getting your probiotics! Win.
